Those of you who went to see the hilarious Dadda Dia staged by our own Sutton Theatre Company this weekend will know of the tremendous transformation of the bar, now named the 'Malted Duck'. This work was carried out by two amazing volunteers all the modifications in their own time. We are indebted to Penny and Justin for this tremendous work and those on the committee of STC who funded much of it!
Not to be outdone, our own volunteer Shep, has painted the main hall walls including the skirting and radiators up to the wooden pelmet - about 10 feet high! He has also polyurethaned all the doors around the building. Many will know this is an incredible achievement as Shep is disabled and uses a wheelchair! Thank you from the whole village Shep!!

Those of you who have previously used the bar and are sharp eyed will have noticed the new glass washer and full sized sink and draining board, not to mention the tall full sized free standing bottle fridge. An investment of about £3,500 by both STC and the village hall to continually improve the hall facilites.
Thanks to all of you involved for the foresight and ambition to make this a reality!
